Avalyn Jaymes { newborn }

Meet beautiful baby Avalyn - the sweetest little newborn that recently came to visit me for her first official photoshoot.  Ava's parents were referred by a previous client and were so wonderful to work with - and like every new parent, totally in awe of their little girl. 

Miss Ava couldn't be a prettier baby - so dainty and girly with the loveliest lashes you've ever seen.  Ava is also a total snuggler, and would have been far more content if I took all of her photos while snoozing away in my arms (believe me, I savored all that baby lovin'). 

In the end, we tricked her into that cozy feeling with a few tight swaddles and faux fur lined baskets.  I love that this little girl already knows exactly  what she likes ;).

Anna Marie { newborn }

Meet beautiful baby Anna - the newborn daughter of a good friend and a perfect addition to this awesome little family.  Anna's parents decided to wait to find out if they were expecting a boy or girl...so precious at 9-days old to see them still soaking in the joy of little Anna.

This was such a fun session - even big brother Joey easily cooperated for a few photos with his baby sister. And Miss Anna couldn't have been more peaceful and content.  I just adore her dainty little features - that perfect dark hair, her round little face, and the way she sleeps with her mouth wide open when she's really zonked out. ;)

And I must mention the adorable festive hats courtesy RocksnSocks (that monster hat couldn't have been more fitting for Anna's Halloween-day session)!

Everleigh Jean { newborn }

Welcome beautiful baby Everleigh - just 7 days old when these photos were taken.  Everleigh's parents were referred by previous clients and were such a joy to work with.  Both so smitten and at peace with their baby girl.  There is something so calming about working with such a new baby - everything else in the world just seems to slow down a bit.

Everleigh could not have been a more cooperative babe.  Her raven-hair and perfect skin made for such classic + timeless images.  She was so content curled up in her parents arms (and snuggled up next to her mama allowed for a quick shot of a gorgeous "push present" - I just adore that "E" charm in honor of sweet Everleigh).

Carter Troy { newborn }

My goodness am I getting spoiled with precious newborns lately.  And on top of that, they're the precious newborns of good friends. Meet Carter Troy, just 9 days old when these photos were taken.  Carter was joined for his newborn session by his doting (and smitten) parents, his adorable big sister Avery, and of course Grandma for a little extra help with this new family of four. 

Carter was just heavenly to photograph. We started with family photos where he was wide awake and studying everyone intently.  It's amazing how alert and strong this sweet babe is already, but at the same time totally calm, peaceful and cozy no matter what set-up I placed him in.  

I had a very hard time picking favorites for this post - from Carter's perfect little grin, to his parents loving gaze, and of course big sister Avery all smiles for a few photos with her new baby brother. So happy to capture this special time for this family!
