Carter Troy { newborn }

My goodness am I getting spoiled with precious newborns lately.  And on top of that, they're the precious newborns of good friends. Meet Carter Troy, just 9 days old when these photos were taken.  Carter was joined for his newborn session by his doting (and smitten) parents, his adorable big sister Avery, and of course Grandma for a little extra help with this new family of four. 

Carter was just heavenly to photograph. We started with family photos where he was wide awake and studying everyone intently.  It's amazing how alert and strong this sweet babe is already, but at the same time totally calm, peaceful and cozy no matter what set-up I placed him in.  

I had a very hard time picking favorites for this post - from Carter's perfect little grin, to his parents loving gaze, and of course big sister Avery all smiles for a few photos with her new baby brother. So happy to capture this special time for this family!
