Meet my girl. For all the photos I take of her, she sure hasn't made much of an appearance on this blog (how sad)! After all, she's the reason I take pictures and the reason I love taking them for others.
It wasn't until I became a mom that it really registered how quickly the time would fly by. Everyone warns you, but nothing can prepare you. It's hard to believe that just over 18 months ago was when I first held this babe in my arms...all 7lbs 13 ounces of her. And here she is today - a busy, inquisitive, loving, sensitive, silly, excited, sometimes-shy, sometimes-outgoing toddler. ;)
So not only is freezing time my favorite part of this job, but also uncovering and capturing all the quirks and nuances that come and go so quickly in those infant and toddler years. For Delaney at 18-months it's her sideways glance followed by a mischievous grin, her scrunched up nose and cheesy smile, and her obsession with the outdoors (including smelling flowers with serious intensity). Oh, and how could I forget her love of all things dinosaur related? Of course we wouldn't make it through this shoot without a few dinos getting involved. ;)
I love that WE managed to capture all my favorites during Delaney's session. And I seriously mean "we" as the only way I could slow this very busy toddler down long enough was through the help of my patient hubby (although I almost lost him on outfit change #4). Oh the things "dadda's" will do for their girls.
To the moon Delaney Ann...
It's kinda ridiculous how cute she is!!
