Joshua Matthew { 1 year }

OH.MY.GOODNESS was this a fun 1-year session.  I've been fortunate to photograph Joshua two other times over the past year (his 4 month and beanie photos for his mama's etsy site).  Somehow, It's still hard to believe he'll be turning ONE this month.

No matter his age, Joshua remains the most adorable little guy.  He just gazes and gazes at the camera, and even shared a few new facial expressions (my personal fave is the scrunchy-nose smirk).  His mom did such an incredible job of bringing personal pieces to this session - she's been hard at work on a Dr. Seuss "Cat in the Hat" 1st birthday party (a favorite book series read over the past year).  And I loved that she brought a newborn photo of Joshua to hold - always a great 1-year photo prop.

Finally, it was such an honor to photograph Joshua with his Dad's Army gear (he served as a helicopter pilot in both South Korea and Iraq).  Joshua is clearly one proud little boy, he's already perfected waiving the flag and would've been happy holding those dog tags for the entire session. ;)

Happy birthday sweet boy - so glad I get to watch you grow!
